Canada’s Women in Sport - Spotlight

Did you know that equestrian show jumping is an Olympic sport? Since the 1900 Paris Olympics Equestrian has been a gold medal sport. Equestrian is often misunderstood because the most demanding elements are invisible to non‑riders. Behind every effortless round is intense physical strength, technical precision, and a finely tuned partnership between horse and rider. Equestrian sport is a true athletic discipline—power, strategy, and skill working in perfect sync.

NHM is proud to support, Back in the Stirrups Media

Back in the Stirrups Media, founded by serial entrepreneur Natasha Hope Morano, showcases the stories of professional women returning to the equestrian world—or finding their stirrups for the first time—in pursuit of empowerment, balance, and well being. Her own transition back into equestrianism after a 20-year hiatus reflects resilience, leadership, a commitment to healing and wellness, rural economic development, and inclusive economic growth. Through this work, she contributes to strengthening local sport ecosystems, supporting rural economic activity, and advancing the broader national goal of increasing women’s participation in high impact sectors.

Following the recent Spring Economic Update and the generational investment in sport, NHM Connect is proud to support Back in the Stirrups Media.
